Compared with untreated wood, this wood type exhibits certain advantages in terms of dimensional stability, toughness, rot protection, and reduced cracking. Thermally modified wood is the end product from processing solid wood, which is made especially durable through steam, heat and drying treatment.

For the thermowood edition, pedestals, screens, door and outside benches are also delivered in spruce and are painted in thermowood colour. Matching paint is delivered with the self-assembly edition.
